7 Day Trial Policy
All saddles are paid in full through the website. Purchaser has 7 days, including weekends, from the day it is received to gently ride in the saddle and make a decision. As fit is of the utmost importance to us, we ask that you plan accordingly if you would like to have a saddle fitter, trainer etc. to check fit. If more time is needed, we are often able to accommodate a longer trial period, as long as there is not a wait list for the saddle, so please keep us informed and arrangements can be made.
Once you receive the saddle, please:
• Wrap your stirrup leathers with boot socks or like material. Even though most used saddles are already marked, different leather qualities can affect the condition of the saddle leather, most of which are calfskin
• DO NOT ride in jeans or other abrasive materials, such as exposed zippers, until you are sure that you are keeping the saddle
• DO NOT clean condition or oil the saddle until you are sure you are keeping the saddle
All saddles are extensively examined and photographed when consigned and again before shipping. Please notify us IMMEDIATELY if you feel it was damaged at all during shipping. If it is returned with any damage, the sale is considered final, and you will be shipped back the saddle at your expense. If the saddle is to be returned, we will send a shipping label via UPS. DO NOT use Styrofoam packing peanuts- they have a tendency to get into the crevices, and a $50 cleaning fee will be subtracted from your refund. Returns are refunded full purchase price minus ALL shipping and processing fees such as credit card (4%) within 48hrs of arrival. Please note that it may take up to 7 business days for your bank or card company to show the refund.
If we have not heard from you by the end of the 7th day, all sales are FINAL. No returns or exchanges are accepted, as most of our saddles are on a consignment basis, the consignor is paid on the 8th day.
All saddles are sold AS IS. We do our best to accurately portray the features and measurements, but due to differences in manufacturing, materials, measurement standards throughout the industry, as well as aftermarket modifications, we are not responsible for any issues arising from such. Trees are tested for soundness, but short of dropping the panels, cannot be guaranteed by SL Saddles.
